The Fujian (China) University Media Alliance was founded on December 21, 2008, a winter day filled with pride. I, as the founder of the alliance, like to see the alliance as a family, young but full of vitality. After the establishment of this family, we from all over Fujian rarely gathered together, and occasional phone contacts were always rushed. For half a year, we haven't organized a single activity. Sometimes pressure is indeed the source of motivation. It wasn't until Secretary-General of the alliance, Teacher Chen Qiang, organized an event and emphasized that this trip would decide the survival or death of the university media that I, who usually detest traveling by car, still went. Because my "child" was in a precarious situation. On the bus, I saw many familiar faces. Everyone talked about various topics, creating a harmonious atmosphere. The feeling of family returned, and everyone also contributed ideas for the future development of the university media. I seemed to see once again the confident university media from the beginning. Sometimes we are very lucky because the university media is happier than ordinary social organizations. Its guiding unit is powerful - the China Youth Daily, renowned both domestically and internationally; its guiding teacher is capable - an outstanding reporter from the China Youth Daily and a popular blogger, Teacher Chen Qiang; and its family members are comprehensive - responsible persons from mainstream student media of various universities, a group of talented young people. I believe that Fujian university media will flourish and that our family will become even stronger.
