Professor Alan Pettigrew from the Australian National University's College of Medicine, Biology and Environment found that, in the latest rankings of research standards in Australia's universities, the Universities of Wollongong, Tasmania and Murdoch were equal top out of a group of 16 universities, achieving remarkable results.
