An official in charge of the Ministry of Education emphasized when receiving a report on the 29th that universities are forbidden to adopt simplified management methods such as withholding diplomas and degree certificates for students who have not paid their tuition or have not found work upon graduation.

Currently, most universities have basically entered the summer vacation period. In order to continue doing a good job with student employment, the Ministry of Education reiterated that all regions and universities must strengthen services, education, and management for graduates, especially helping unemployed graduates find jobs and leave school smoothly. It is necessary to do a good job connecting employment for graduates before and after they leave school, maintaining the enthusiasm and intensity of services for graduate employment. We should accurately grasp and strictly implement relevant national and university policies, paying attention to combining education with management.

In addition, universities must continue to do a good job with pre-enlistment work for college graduates, timely statistics and reporting relevant information. For graduates who apply for enlistment after leaving school, they should actively cooperate with military departments to make up procedures. According to statistics from the Ministry of Education, as of July 1st, out of 6.11 million college graduates nationwide, 4.15 million have already secured placements, an increase of 440,000 people compared to the same period last year; the employment rate of college graduates has reached 68%, which is roughly the same as the same period last year.
