Hong Kong Wen Hui Bao reported that Hong Kong in recent years has been committed to becoming an education hub, and its leadership position within the Asian higher education sector has already been recognized. According to the latest first-ever Asia regional university ranking released by the higher education research institute QS (Quacquarelli Symonds), the University of Hong Kong, Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology ranked 1st, 2nd and 4th respectively within the Asian region, surpassing prestigious universities from Japan, South Korea, Singapore and mainland China. Meanwhile, City University, Polytechnic University and Baptist University also made it into the top 100 list in Asia.
