Toys have a profound impact on the development of infants and toddlers at various stages. Therefore, in addition to choosing appropriate toys for their babies based on their developmental stage, parents should also understand what constitutes a good toy.
Professor Huang Zhicheng from the Department of Child Welfare at Wenhua University pointed out that a good toy should meet the following criteria:
1. It can help children develop fundamental movements at each stage.
2. It can foster a child's learning ability.
3. It can stimulate and cultivate a child's curiosity.
4. It can provide the child with a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment.
5. It can help the child express meaning through language or vent emotions.
6. It can cultivate good habits in the child.
7. In addition to the above, applicability, durability, safety, economy, and not taking up too much space are all essential requirements for an excellent toy.
