In our tradition, there are many taboos for postpartum women sitting the month. For example, they cannot be exposed to wind, cannot touch water, and many new mothers who have just given birth stay in an environment with closed doors and windows. Their physical constitution is generally weak, and many mothers close doors and windows after childbirth. Therefore, under conditions of high temperature, high humidity, and poor ventilation, it is easy to cause postpartum heatstroke.
Identifying "Heatstroke"
After a postpartum heatstroke, mothers will experience elevated body temperature, accelerated pulse and breathing, red face without sweating, dry and hot skin, and rashes or sweating all over the body. Heatstroke can mainly be divided into pre-heatstroke, mild heatstroke, and severe heatstroke.
Symptoms of Pre-heatstroke
Under high-temperature conditions, new mothers may experience headaches, dizziness, thirst, excessive sweating, weakness and soreness in the limbs, inability to concentrate, and uncoordinated movements. The body temperature is normal or slightly elevated.
