GB5310 -2008—— China National Standard High-pressure Boiler Tube
(Seamless steel pipe for high pressure boilers) ASME SA106-------American Boiler and Pressure Vessel Specification ASME SA210 —— American Boiler and Pressure Vessel Specification ASME SA213 —— American Boiler and Pressure Vessel Specification DIN17175 —— Federal German Industrial Standard
Usage of High-pressure Boiler Tubes:
Used in heat-absorbing pipes of low and medium pressure boilers (working pressure generally not more than 5.88Mpa, working temperature below 450℃); used in heat-absorbing pipes, economizers, superheaters, reheaters, and petrochemical industry pipes of high pressure boilers (working pressure generally above 9.8Mpa, working temperature between 450℃~650℃).
Specifications and Appearance Quality:
According to GB5310-95, the outer diameter of high-pressure boiler tubes ranges from 22~530mm, wall thickness from 20~70mm. Cold-drawn (cold-rolled) tubes have an outer diameter of 10~108mm, wall thickness of 2.0~13.0mm.
Main Grades:
The current total production and consumption of high-pressure boiler tubes are significant. Many manufacturers produce high-pressure boiler tubes, especially those producing 20G, with a total production capacity of about 200,000 tons. However, only a few manufacturers truly have the production capability, with a capacity of about 150,000 tons. The actual production in 1998 was less than 100,000 tons. The current market share is 41%, while the demand from the boiler industry is not strong.
Φ10~1066mm specification steel pipes can be supplied. For a long time, the main steel grades have been 20G, 12Cr1MoV, G102. In the future, the main steel grades will be 20G, 12Cr1MoV, T91 (P91), TP347H. Domestically, T91 (P91) and TP347H are still in the trial production stage.
Demand for high-pressure boiler tubes is closely related to the development of thermal power. In 1995, the installed capacity in China reached 200 million kW. According to government plans, it will reach 290 million kW by 2000, i.e., adding 16 million kW per year. Among them, thermal power (calculated at 75%), adds 12 million kW per year. Boiler manufacturing consumes 100 tons of high-pressure boiler tubes per 10,000 kW, resulting in an annual consumption of 120,000 tons. Due to the import of complete boilers, the actual consumption is less than this number. Adding the needs of power station construction (1.7t/10,000kW), maintenance of existing thermal power units (6.5t/10,000kW), and the need for steel pipes with similar performance requirements as high-pressure boiler tubes, the estimated annual consumption in recent years is approximately 300,000 tons. With the increase in existing capacity, the demand for maintenance will become the largest in the future.
As high-pressure boilers develop towards higher performance parameters and extended service life, the requirements for steel grades are increasingly stringent, and domestic research on new materials and pipe making lags behind the needs.
Grades include: 10, 20, 20G, 20MnG, 25MnG, 15CrMoG, 12Cr2MoG, 12Cr1MoVG, 12Cr2MoWVTiB, 10Cr9Mo1VNb, SA210A1, SA210C, SA213 T11, SA213 T12, SA213 T22, SA213 T23, SA213 T91, SA213 T92, ST45.8/Ⅲ, 15Mo3, 13CrMo44, 10CrMo910, etc.
