Should I sell my fund to pay off my mortgage?

Jeff, who rarely reads financial news, entered the market last August after being persuaded by a friend. The returns in the first two weeks indeed made him very happy - the annualized returns were enough to surpass the revenue of his small ticketing company. Naturally, Jeff invested the funds he had originally planned to use to pay off his mortgage early and even devised a "perfect plan" to exit the market with profits by June this year. Unfortunately, the over 20,000 yuan loss in his fund has left Jeff disheartened with the market. More importantly, "on one hand I have to keep paying interest to the bank, and on the other hand the net asset value of the fund is decreasing every day." Jeff complained to the reporter, "I want to redeem my fund to pay off the mortgage or sell a property, at least I won't be losing on both ends."
