The stock index rose steadily today. Both the Shanghai and Shenzhen markets hit new highs for the rebound. In the early session, encouraged by financials, coal, steel and other weighted sectors, the-Shanghai Composite Index returned smoothly above 3100 points. Subsequently, the index advanced with fluctuations. Sectors and individual stocks were active. Almost all sectors closed in the red. Less than 10% of the stocks fell. The property sector gained momentum at the end of the trading day, which made both markets close with bullish candlestick lines without shadow lines on either side. The turnover of the two markets increased slightly compared with the previous day. The Shanghai Composite Index closed at 3145.16, up 2.1%.
