I once heard a biology teacher tell an experiment conducted by an American professor: Put several bees into a bottle placed horizontally, with the bottom of the bottle facing the light and the opening open. The bees all kept flying towards the bright place, but they kept bumping into the wall of the bottle. Eventually, they seemed to realize that they could never fly out of this bottle, none of them tried again, and they were all lying exhausted at the bottom of the bottle. The professor poured these bees out, put the bottle back in the same way, and then put in several flies. Flies are different from bees. In addition to flying towards the bright place, they also fly in other directions, either up, down, or against the light. In short, they kept bumping into walls, but eventually they all flew out of the narrow bottleneck. They changed their fate like the bees did through their relentless efforts.
This is the story our teacher told us in the last class of our graduation year. At that time, we were all facing the pressure of employment. Everyone was worried, and many people were completely confused about their future. That day, after the teacher finished telling the story, he seriously said to us: "Before the age of thirty, don't expect to achieve great success. Anything can be tried, rushing around in all directions is much better than being conservative and pessimistic and waiting for death."
Years have passed, I have a classmate who does marketing and is now a regional agent. You know, when he graduated from university and started selling, his parents strongly opposed it; another classmate, after failing to find a job many times, actually switched careers to do what he liked - computers, and now he owns several companies. I also have a primary school classmate who had to stay at home due to a work injury. He decided to start steaming and selling buns, which was strongly opposed by his family. After all, in the countryside, who doesn't know how to steam buns? But now, despite his disability, his bun business has expanded to the surrounding county, and he has become a well-known wealthy star.
Today, as I sit in front of the computer, I suddenly remembered the story our teacher told us years ago. Maybe we will never know which road leads to success. In fact, everyone will have a period of time like the bees trapped in the bottle, feeling lost and disoriented. The key is not to rush to find a breakthrough to get out of the predicament, maybe rushing around is the best choice.
In fact, it is just like this. Success has no secret. Those successful people around us have all found opportunities in their reckless attempts. Although they often got hurt badly and failed more, they all found the direction and space suitable for themselves.
