"Internet + service industry model favored by entrepreneurs Author: Zhu Xiangting Source: South Network Update Time: October 22, 2010 Among the eight competition zones of the "2010 Common People's Wealth Creation Competition", there is a clear concentrated trend in the industries chosen by participants from all areas. A major feature of the entrepreneurs in Guangzhou and Foshan zones is their choice of an Internet-based model combined with other industries.

The enthusiasm for combining the Internet with offline services benefits from a mature Internet infrastructure. Sixty percent of the participants from the Guangzhou and Foshan zones are engaged in the Internet industry. The reporter also found that most of these participants were born after 1975. For them, the Internet is both a familiar growing environment and fertile ground to showcase their business wisdom. However, compared with traditional Internet companies, more entrepreneurs are no longer fixated on exploring the business models of the Internet itself but instead combine it with offline services to explore new ways of development. These offline services are mainly concentrated in the catering and leisure service industries.

In China, the combination of the catering industry with the Internet already has a relatively successful case - Dianping.com, which proves the feasibility of combining these two industries. Miss Wu from Guangzhou obviously also saw this trend. Her company initially did software and hardware development, but she was not satisfied with that; instead, she set her sights on the catering industry. "I am from Guangzhou and have a deep understanding of Guangzhou culture. Our food culture is very rich. I think combining the Internet with the catering industry will be very promising." Her company's concept is "to create online flagship stores for catering enterprises." She hopes to publish information about all restaurants in Guangzhou here.

The combination of the Internet with leisure services is another popular way. This covers a wider range including fitness, yoga, boxing, health therapy, SPA, outdoor expansion, rafting adventure, and even agritainment. In the eyes of these entrepreneurs, modern people have to deal with fast-paced learning, work, and life, making fitness and wellness increasingly fashionable topics, and the business opportunities contained within are enormous. An interesting phenomenon is that these entrepreneurs focus mainly on developing corporate customers to meet the training needs of enterprises. This reflects the sensitive commercial acumen of these entrepreneurs.

Many choose trade industries and push the market to the world. Besides the Internet, many entrepreneurs in the Guangdong-Foshan zone also choose trade industries and push the market to all over the world. This is easy to understand; from the large and small wholesale markets scattered throughout Guangzhou, one can see the trading ability of the people of Guangzhou, and the developed manufacturing industry in Guangdong also provides a good foundation for such companies.

Miss Li from the Guangzhou zone said "Ariaseruo" as soon as she received the reporter's call. Her company engages in Korean-style children's clothing business and usually has more trade with Koreans. To expand her business, she registered two small brands.

Mr. Yu from the Foshan zone, on the other hand, set his sights on Southeast Asia. He seems interested in all trades between China and Southeast Asia. In his business plan, he mentioned the main products and services: industrial trade purchasing for Southeast Asia, tourism purchasing, overseas co-sales, enterprise training, etc.

Among the participants, there are also quite a few technological innovators. One participant's project is a "fast food digital operation platform." His project is to build a restaurant into a local area network via wireless broadband Wi-Fi technology. Customers use a touch computer all-in-one machine on a new type of table (the participant declared that this product has obtained a national utility patent) for self-service touch-ordering.

Entrepreneurs say, "Fortunately, I didn't have much money when I started."

"I thought what I lacked most was capital, but during the process of doing business, I gradually discovered that the first problem to solve is to understand what you want to do," Mr. Zuo from the Guangzhou zone told reporters. Three years ago, he founded an Internet company selling fitness products. But at the beginning of this year, he adjusted his direction and started sales and promotion services for fitness, outdoor expansion, agritainment, and other leisure activities.

Recalling the days of lacking money during the entrepreneurial process, Mr. Zuo felt quite helpless. He once reached a point where he couldn't afford to pay salaries. Initially, he heard from friends about postal savings bank's micro-loan services, so he applied for it, but an unexpected issue made him unable to obtain the loan - his company's registration address was different from the office address, which made the bank unable to provide the loan. Eventually, he had to borrow money from friends to pay the salaries.

But after several years of ups and downs, Mr. Zuo discovered that money is not the most important thing; the most important thing is to clearly understand what you want to do and must have a clear business model. "Fortunately, I didn't have much money when I started." Mr. Zuo believes that it was precisely because of the pressure brought by the lack of funds that he gave up many unrealistic ideas and focused on simple and feasible things.

Fortunately, Mr. Zuo received a venture capital investment last year. "The investor is a friend of a friend, who is quite optimistic about our project."

"Loan of 50,000 yuan, tax paid 3,000 yuan"

An entrepreneur from the Guangzhou zone indignantly told reporters that a friend of hers borrowed 50,000 yuan when starting a business, but the company was still in the trial operation stage and had to pay more than 3,000 yuan in taxes. The problem she encountered herself was "complex administrative approval procedures, too long a time drag." She hopes that the various related policies issued by the government can eventually be implemented.

Many readers expressed a strong desire to participate in this competition, but writing a proposal takes time, and they may not be able to submit the proposal before the registration deadline at the end of October. Registration Site

Brother, I have nothing, but I still come to register

In the latest list of registrants, the reporter saw such a piece of contest information: Project Name: Pregnant Women Products; Team Form: Individual; Operating Years: Not Yet; Operating Address: Not Yet; Asset Scale: Because my family is poor, there is such a way of thinking; Annual Sales: Unknown Number; Annual Net Profit: Unknown Number; Industry: Working...

You might think this is somewhat "nonsense," but it embodies the entrepreneurial passion of Guangdong.

A newly graduated university student wants to create a 3D online community

Mr. Feng from the Foshan zone just graduated from university this year, and his idea is to create a 3D online community and build a Chinese version of "Second Life" (Editor's note: "Second Life" is a famous 3D online game in the United States where players can create and buy items, own the ownership and sales rights of the items).

Mr. Feng told reporters: "I've been to many 3D game companies in China, but their graphics and game design are not very good."

Mr. Feng plans to start implementing his ambitious plan two to three years after graduation. "My tutor also sees the development prospects of 3D online games, and we will do this together," he said.
