The employment situation of Beijing's college graduate village officials is stable after the end of their terms.

A total of more than 2,800 college graduate "village officials" in Beijing have this year come to the end of their contracts. By August, more than 2,600 had already taken up new jobs. It is understood that 428 of them have been accepted as civil servants; 276 have been accepted by public institutions; 120 have entered township special public institution posts; 441 have been rehired; more than 800 have been accepted by businesses; nearly 400 have been hired as community workers; and more than 20 are preparing for postgraduate entrance examinations or further study.
