Don't think too big when you start a business.

From the chat in the entrepreneurship group, many friends have grand plans, including profit models, etc., all aiming at famous enterprises and large companies. Their own resources and funds are far from enough, and they don't have core technology or any controllable resources. It's just a good idea. Some even need to rely on the customer resources of China Mobile and China Telecom. You must know, how could China Mobile and China Telecom easily do business with a small partner? There are also those without a team, without funds, just an idea, going to find investors. After the idea is recognized by the investor, why wouldn't the investor do it themselves? I think that no matter how good an idea is, if you can't implement it yourself, it's worthless unless you have technology or a good team. Moreover, even if you have funds, good projects, and a good team, success is not guaranteed. My feeling is that in the Chinese market, there is fierce competition everywhere, and making something successful is really not easy. A person needs to grow while running a business. I myself went through such a process. Looking back at my many ideas from 2004-2007, they were very naive. Even now, as Mr. Yu Minhong commented, "without long-term experience in running a company", I still feel immature in the business world. In these few years, I've done some small things and gained certain growth in the process: only then can I possibly do something a little bigger. The growth in commercial ability and control over commerce requires experience to accumulate.

At present, having a certain amount of start-up capital is a prerequisite. Sometimes raising money isn't easy. If you have food in your hands, you won't panic. This is especially true for entrepreneurship. To achieve great undertakings and big companies, more funds are needed. Without a certain amount of your own funds, it's hard to succeed. Therefore, I suggest to some friends to first do a small store well, gradually accumulate a certain amount of funds, and at the same time accumulate experience. Only on this basis can you achieve something. For example, if you want to do community chain stores in Hangzhou or even the whole province, you must first successfully run one or two stores. Only then will people invest in you. Without the original funds and experience from these two stores, it's difficult to get funding, and even if you get it, you won't be able to control it. The ideas and plans for starting a business are simple, but when actually implementing them, there are definitely many unimaginable difficulties. Though small, sparrows have all their organs. So opening one or two small stores can solve many of the difficulties of doing a chain store.

Some people can make it overnight, but those are mostly stories, an accident, impossible to replicate on a large scale. The road for most of us still needs to be taken step by step. Walk the path under your feet steadily, only then can you start running. Therefore, I suggest to friends who are starting a business for the first time, don't set your goals too high at the beginning. Instead, use existing resources to start a business suitable to your actual situation. Rather than daydreaming about a great dream, it's better to start from small things, and better to start accumulating small amounts of capital.
