The Training on Elementary School English Textbooks and Teaching Methods in Xuyong County Has Come to a Successful End

In order to help the elementary school English teachers in our county better understand and grasp the textbooks, the Research and Teaching Office held a training session on the sixth-grade elementary school English textbook teaching methods on March 1st. A total of 136 teachers from across the county participated in this training session.
Based on the actual situation of grassroots elementary school English teaching understood through surveys, and considering that a large number of teachers have only started teaching English this semester, the aim was to enable these teachers to quickly adapt to elementary school English teaching and standardize classroom teaching in elementary school English. Therefore, this training was conducted by Wen Xiaoping, an English researcher at the Research and Teaching Office, who trained the participating teachers on standardizing elementary school English classroom teaching. Ding Ping, another English researcher at the Research and Teaching Office, focused on analyzing the arrangement style, structure, writing intentions, teaching priorities, and difficulties of the "New Standard" English textbooks for elementary schools. Specific requirements were also put forward regarding the examination points of the textbook, later-stage reviews, etc.
During this training, the teachers abided by the rules, listened attentively, and took careful notes. Everyone felt that they had gained a lot from this textbook training. They hope there will be more such trainings in the future.
