Author: Liu Feng, The Review of the Paper on the Internet Evolution Theory has been Passed
On August 5th, 2008, I received a letter from the editorial department of a national core journal, confirming that the paper involving the main conclusions of the Internet Evolution Theory, "The Evolution of the Internet Viewed from the Structure and Mechanism of the Human Brain," had passed the review and would be formally published (the name of the journal will be announced after formal publication). In this article, we proposed two core issues about the Internet: 1. Is there a pattern to the development of the Internet? 2. What is the ultimate result of the Internet's development? Regarding these two questions, we have given our answers: the origin of the Internet and its ultimate goal of evolution is to achieve the full networking of the human brain, and this goal generates a powerful driving force, continuously guiding the forward development of the Internet, which is the rule of the Internet's development. The ultimate result of the Internet's evolution is, first, to realize the full networking of the human brain. Second, to form an Internet virtual brain highly similar to the human brain.
For three years, I have been thinking and practicing, eventually linking the development of the Internet with the structure of the human brain. I even began to suspect whether I had fallen into madness and obsession. The passing of the review of this paper can also prove that I am still normal and清醒. Or it shows that there are still people willing to acknowledge our nearly obsessive thinking. This includes the teacher from the Academy of Sciences who guided this article and the website editors who supported relevant discussions. Thank you all.
From Witkey to the Internet Evolution Theory, I did not expect myself to make any major discoveries, but if the coincidence between the Internet's evolution and the structure of the human brain holds true, then it must contain some key factors.
1. Can the development of the Internet, which has the greatest impact on human society in the 21st century, possibly contain new breakthroughs in science?
2. What is the relationship between the revelation of the secrets of the brain structure and the results of the Internet's evolution?
3. By studying the structure of the brain, can we really predict what structures the Internet will evolve into?
4. From Darwin's Evolution Theory to the Internet Evolution Theory, does life's evolution have directionality?
5. What kind of promoting effect will the surprising coincidence between the Internet Evolution Theory and the structure of the human brain have on the research of the nature of the universe in life sciences and theoretical physics?
Deeper thoughts already exist, but we need to treat them cautiously and scientifically. They may not be accurate, but this direction is certainly a field worth trying.
