WorldKate Middleton's stunning gown worth $150,000 by Hanna Jones | November 25, 2010 | + Tweet Neilson / Getty Images Neilson / Getty Images The dress worn by Kate Middleton at a university fashion show, which is said to have sparked her romance with Prince William, could be worth £100,000 ($157,911). It should cover the costs for drinks at the wedding. According to the London Evening Standard, where Kate walked the catwalk at a charity fashion show held at St. Andrews University in 2002 wearing this revealing little number, Britain’s future king turned to a friend and whispered: "Wow... Kate's hot!" It was later that evening that Prince William reportedly made his move on Kate (which Newsfeed would like to point out, was rather dashing and princely). But the question remains: Where is that dress now? (See pictures of Kate Middleton and her other outfits.) The gown was created by fashion design student Charlotte Todd, who has since kept the dress in her mother's wardrobe. Ms. Todd, who now works at an aquarium, has said she will not sell the dress because she considers it "a piece of fashion history." However, due to its historical significance, Christine Satchell from London-based auctioneers Greasby's believes it may soon be worth up to £100,000, especially following the royal wedding. (See pictures of British royal weddings.) With that in mind, we here at Newsfeed would be inclined to part with something similar tonight if Prince Harry (or yes, any available prince) came calling, as unlike Ms. Todd, we're totally open to offers.
