Our reporter (Zhang Tailing, Liu Zhenni) At around dawn yesterday, a male corpse was discovered in a yard on the South Beijing West Station Road in Fengtai District. The body had suffered massive bleeding. The Fengtai police confirmed that the man died after falling from a building and ruled out the possibility of a criminal case.
The incident occurred in a courtyard used as a parking lot. At about 9:00 AM yesterday morning, the police were still conducting an investigation at the scene, with caution tape surrounding the area. The deceased was dressed in dark clothes and appeared to be in his 30s. He lay on his side in front of a vehicle, his shirt unbuttoned, covered in blood, with a large pool of blood near his head. Beside the body were items found by the police on the deceased, including several pages of paper with writing.
It is understood that the courtyard where the incident occurred was used as a parking lot by the Yudong Hotel. However, the surrounding buildings belonged to different units: the Yudong Hotel to the south, the Zhongtiaoshan Hotel to the north, Dayali Roast Duck Restaurant to the east, and a residential building to the west.
The on-site investigation continued until nearly 10:00 AM, after which a large number of police officers entered the surrounding buildings in batches to conduct interviews and retrieve surveillance footage.
The police have ruled out the possibility of a criminal case. After the body was removed, the Yudong Hotel staff began cleaning the bloodstains on the ground. "Someone found him at 7:00 in the morning; he fell from the fifth floor opposite in the middle of the night," a hotel staff member said, adding that the deceased was neither an employee nor a guest of their hotel.
"He's not one of ours either," the front desk of the Zhongtiaoshan Hotel said. The police had already identified the deceased and compared the information with the hotel's registered guests but did not find any relevant information.
Other nearby unit personnel and some residents also told reporters that they were unaware of the identity of the man who fell from the building.
Last night, the Fengtai police confirmed that the man died after falling from a building and ruled out the possibility of a criminal case. According to our understanding, the man stayed at a nearby budget hotel before the incident and committed suicide by jumping from the building due to family trivial matters. It was reported that he had expressed feelings of despair due to life pressures before the incident.
