After a large number of visits and investigations by the Sanya police, it was found that the deceased, Ji Mou, was from Lichigou in Sanya, 22 years old, and the owner of a heavy truck. Warning to the other two suspects to surrender quickly.
Currently, the case is under further review. At the same time, the Sanya Forest Police urge the other two fugitives to surrender as soon as possible and seek lenient treatment.
Upon hearing this news, Director Wu Zhanpeng immediately gathered the action team and divided them into two groups to act separately. To avoid alarming Chen Mou, the police officers disguised themselves as staff members of the Land Resources Bureau, citing reasons of checking illegal construction, while taking the opportunity for other police officers to quickly approach Chen Mou. When Chen Mou realized and planned to resist, he was already firmly captured by the police officers.
Disputes arose due to competition over freight business.
During the investigation, the police discovered that Chen Mou and Chen Moumou from Nancheng Township in Baojing County, because they envied Ji Mou's ability to secure timber transportation jobs, thought that Ji Mou had taken their "bread and butter" and had caused trouble for Ji Mou, leading to disputes between the two parties. On the day of the incident, Chen Mou, Chen Moumou, and four other habitual timber thieves sought revenge. In Baolong Forestry Farm at Jiedieling, they stopped Ji Mou's timber truck. Two of the men each held explosive guns, and one man shot Ji Mou in the chest. Subsequently, the four men set fire to Ji Mou's timber truck and fled the scene. Simultaneously, notices were posted, hoping that the suspects would surrender as soon as possible. Unfortunately, the four suspects remained stubborn, and the persuasion efforts did not yield results.
