During the conversation, a person with the QQ name "Mars Language" earnestly requested to add Chen Ling as a close friend. Chen accepted the request.
On January 19th, the police received a report from a fisherman who discovered a large package by the Xijiang River. Inside the package was a highly decomposed female corpse that had been dismembered. The police swiftly took action, dispatching forensic experts to identify the victim's identity and simultaneously arresting the suspect Li Mou. The identification results soon came out: the dismembered body was indeed Chen Ling. In the face of evidence, Li Mou confessed to the crime of greedily killing the female victim.
After a period of intense chatting, terms like "treasure" and "dear" frequently appeared in their chat records without any restraint. Chen Ling even revealed all her secrets to him. On the evening of Christmas Day, December 25th, "Mars Language" invited Chen Ling to meet near his rented apartment in Zhaoqing city on December 30th, and Chen agreed. At around 10 o'clock in the morning on December 30th, the two finally met after only communicating through the internet for so long. After lunch, they went to the apartment rented by "Mars Language."
According to reports by the Yangcheng Evening News, journalists Huang Liang and correspondent Xiong Xiaofei stated that a 40-year-old unmarried female boss met a man ten years younger than herself through QQ. After some time of communication, they met on December 30th last year. Shockingly, the cruel online acquaintance killed the female boss and then dumped her body into the Xijiang River. He also withdrew more than 15,000 yuan from the victim’s bank cards. On February 1st, the Zhaqing Duanzhou police informed the media that they successfully solved this robbery and murder case, capturing the suspect Li Mou (male, 30 years old, from Gaoyao) with the QQ name "Mars Language."
On January 2nd this year, Chen Ling's family, who hadn't seen her for several days, reported the disappearance to the Sihui Public Security Bureau. The bureau immediately started investigating. On January 5th, the case was transferred to the Zhaqing Duanzhou police for handling. During the investigation, the special task force found that on December 31st last year, a man wearing a motorcycle helmet and gloves withdrew over 5,000 yuan in cash from three of Chen Ling's bank cards. By reviewing Chen Ling's QQ chat records, the police eventually identified the man with the QQ name "Mars Language" as Li Mou.
Inside the rented apartment, "Mars Language" used a network cable to tie Chen Ling to a chair, looting several thousand yuan in cash from her. He then demanded the passwords for over ten bank cards she carried on her person. Since "Mars Language" knew that Chen Ling had a card with 200,000 yuan but she didn't reveal the password for this particular card, he managed to withdraw only over 5,000 yuan from the bank. Enraged, he returned to the apartment and strangled Chen Ling until she suffocated to death. Subsequently, he dumped her body into the Xijiang River.
