24-hour SEO Deterioration Website True Record
Before introducing how I built an SEO-optimized website within 24 hours, I feel it's necessary to introduce myself first. I am a female SEOer and consider myself a newbie. However, being a newcomer doesn't mean one should be limited by that label. What seasoned pros can do well, rookies can achieve too!
During college, I studied Economics and Management with little exposure to computers beyond chatting online, watching TV, and playing games. After graduation, I abandoned my original major and pursued my interest in the IT industry, aiming to become an excellent search engine optimizer. Since then, I embarked on my self-taught SEO journey while working for a jewelry company, balancing theory and practical operations with pretty good results.
Alright, now let's delve into the true record of how I optimized a website within 24 hours.
Firstly: I spent eight hours sleeping! Rest is essential for website builders; when you're well-rested, your efficiency improves!
Then, I spent ten hours analyzing keywords, which is an indispensable step! To build a high-quality website, attention to detail is crucial, so keyword selection must not be rushed. Initially, I used Baidu's keyword research tool to find 20 relevant keywords with higher Baidu indices for analysis. This process took me an hour, including half an hour searching for the Baidu keyword research tool, followed by related keyword mining work.
From the selected 20 keywords with relatively high indices, I analyzed competitors' situations and listed them in an Excel sheet with the following details:
Keyword - Baidu Index - Top five competitor websites
Competitor website weight analysis: Key data indicators include PR value, Baidu indexation, Google indexation, keyword relevance, Baidu backlinks, Yahoo backlinks, and internal optimization level.
Next, I entered these data into the table, filtering out the top five strongest competitors with the highest Baidu indices, and finally selected three keywords with relatively higher commercial value!
The above work consumed ten hours, but it was entirely worthwhile. Choosing the right keywords often leads to twice the result with half the effort!
Out of 24 hours, subtracting the 10 hours spent on keyword selection and the 8 hours spent sleeping, I had 6 hours left for other tasks.
I spent an hour selecting a domain name for my website, ensuring it relates to the website content. Baidu recognizes pinyin, while Google favors English. I chose pinyin for my domain: pinyin + numbers. After choosing the domain, I selected WordPress as the main program for my website, a BLOG system. Then, I activated a U.S.-based virtual host supporting PHP, MySQL, and URL rewriting.
Using another hour, I uploaded the WordPress program to the virtual host and downloaded a suitable template.
Uploaded it to the WordPress module folder: /wp-content/themes/
Then, I wrote the title, keywords, and description in the following format:
title = Keyword1_Keyword2_Keyword3_Only on XX Network
keywords = Keyword1, Keyword2, Keyword3, XX Network,
description = Freestyle writing, try to include the keywords twice, keeping the word count between 80-100 words.
Spent three hours modifying the template, adding some relevant sections such as hot news, recommended news, etc., incorporating keywords to increase keyword density.
Next, I modified the WordPress template, adding secondary navigation in the FOOT.php file, inserting anchor texts for Keyword1, Keyword2, and Keyword3, all pointing to the homepage.
Also added a latest articles section and a random articles section.
Changed the homepage link in the breadcrumb navigation of the content page to XXX Network, using a unified URL format like http://www.moonseo.net/.
Set up static-friendly URL patterns, uploading the .htaccess file with the following content:
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
And simply created a 404 page and the website's logo.
In the last hour, I wrote three pseudo-original long-tail articles, published them, and submitted the website to various search engine entries.
This is the full true record of optimizing a website within 24 hours. I hope it helps everyone! Currently, this site has mined many long-tail keywords around the target keywords, organizing content around these terms, ensuring a 4-to-1 word frequency, and doing internal linking within the articles to form a network across the entire website. Submitted the site directory on March 12th, Google's indexation is good now, today's PV (page views) reached over 70, with about 20 IPs. One of the target keywords already ranks 11th on Google within three days.
I need to keep improving. Building a website is actually quite simple. There are many useful open-source programs available now, and you don't necessarily need to master web design tools, PHP, or ASP to create a website. Believe in yourself!
