On our way to success, we often encounter setbacks. These setbacks may be some difficulties that you can't even imagine, and these difficulties will become obstacles on our path to success. But some of these obstacles are so beautiful. On the road to success, when you have just achieved a little success, some people like to show off to others. At this time, you can receive applause and a lot of praise from others. At this moment, those who have just achieved small successes will be dizzy with applause and praise, and forget that they are still far away from success. At this time, praise and applause also become obstacles to success. So how should we adjust ourselves when we encounter such obstacles? Beijing Outward Bound Training will answer this question for you.

Before answering this question for you, let me tell you a little story about how applause and flowers can affect success and goals. The story goes like this:

A long, long time ago, there were many grapevines growing in the forest. It was harvest season, and the top of the grapevine was full of plump, juicy grapes, making people drool. One day, a little puppy passed by the grapevine and saw the fruit-laden vine. It was very hot, and the little puppy wanted to pick a bunch of grapes to quench its thirst. However, the grapevine was very high, and the little puppy couldn't reach it as it didn't know how to climb trees. What could it do? The little puppy thought, if I jump, I might be able to grab it. So, the little puppy chose a large and good-looking bunch of grapes as its target and jumped up with all its might. However, despite its efforts, it still couldn't reach it. The little puppy thought, this bunch of grapes must be sour and astringent, and it doesn't matter if I can't grab it.

So, the little puppy picked another bunch of grapes as its target and jumped up again with all its might. Unfortunately, it still failed to reach it. The little puppy thought, this bunch of grapes must be the same as the previous one, probably not tasty, and might even be polluted. While the little puppy was looking for the next grape target, it heard several sparrows on the tree discussing, "Look at the posture of that little puppy jumping, it's so beautiful and high." Hearing this, the little puppy was very happy and excitedly jumped again. This time, the sparrows applauded in approval. The little puppy thought, if I want to eat the grapes, I must jump even higher. At this moment, it saw a bamboo stick by the roadside, picked it up, aimed at a bunch of grapes it had chosen, and ran towards it with all its might. Just before reaching the grapes, it made an action like a pole vaulter. However, the height of the jump was too high, and the little puppy still couldn't pick the grapes. After landing, the sparrows first applauded for its wonderful performance and then gave the little puppy flowers and garlands. This made the little puppy extremely happy. On the way home, the little puppy thought, "That's not right. I wasn't performing for the sparrows; I was picking grapes."
