Henan Business Daily (reporter Yan Yan Wang) - Yesterday, a young man without clothes was seen running back and forth on the streets of Zhengzhou. Some people gave him clothing while others provided him with food. The man said that he survived by eating garbage.
At around 8:00 AM yesterday, at the intersection of You Sheng Nan Lu and Wei Sheng Lu in Zhengzhou, a man about 20 years old was seen streaking through the streets. Subsequently, Mr. Wang, a patrol officer from Da Shi Qiao, and his colleagues led the young man to a secluded area. The man shivered as he muttered to himself: "It's too cold, life is too hard."
When the reporter saw him, he had already put on a pair of pants. "A passerby felt sorry for him and gave him the pants," said Mr. Wang.
The man said his name was Hong Yang, he was 20 years old, and he had been wandering outside. In the morning, he ran out of where he lived because his clothes were too dirty, so he threw them away.
He was still wearing flip-flops, and his hands and feet were dirty. As he trembled, another kind-hearted person brought an overcoat for him to wear.
His speech was a bit stuttered. At one point, he said that all this was because he was being forced by someone, and then he said that he had never seen his parents from childhood to adulthood. He took the patrol officers to his "home" - upstairs in a shop on You Sheng Bei Lu, where there were piles of garbage on the ground. "I dig things to eat from inside," he said.
People from the car wash downstairs said they had seen the youth living upstairs for more than ten days, carrying large and small packages upstairs every day, picking things to eat from among them.
Because the man could not clearly state his home address, the patrol officers said they could not help him but hoped that if anyone saw him, they would offer some assistance. "Perhaps his parents are anxiously searching for him."
