Yantai Daily News, February 6th (Reported by Lin Fei and Liu Xueping, Correspondent Zhu Gengping) - Unwilling to accept the poor business of his restaurant, the owner actually allowed two waitresses in his store to engage in prostitution. Restaurant owner Tong was sentenced to one year in prison with a one-year reprieve for accommodating and introducing prostitution, and fined 30,000 yuan.
In March 2011, Tong from Jilin Province opened a restaurant in Binzhou. Due to poor business, in order to increase operating income, Tong came up with the idea of using two female waitresses in their 40s, Meng and Fan, who worked at the restaurant.
After discussing with Meng and Fan, Tong provided rooms in the restaurant for them to engage in prostitution activities. Each time, the price was set at 30 yuan, with Tong taking a cut of 10 yuan. On a day in September 2011, three men successively arrived at Tong's restaurant. Tong introduced Meng and Fan to provide prostitution services to these three men in his store, and Tong made a total profit of 30 yuan from this. However, officers in the jurisdiction received a report and happened to be staking out around the restaurant, successfully capturing all involved individuals.
