According to a report by Guangzhou Daily on August 22, the Sex Culture Festival, which was pioneered in Guangdong and sparked a national craze, will once again take place in Guangzhou from November 3 to 5 this year. Today, we learned from the press conference of the Fifth National (Guangzhou) Sex Culture Festival that following last year's successful entry into university towns, this year's festival activities will enter middle school campuses for the first time. This is also an exploration of sex education in Guangdong schools. In addition, this year's Sex Culture Festival will feature three major changes: expanded exhibitions, relocation of exhibition venues, and reduced ticket prices.
The Fifth Sex Culture Festival is jointly organized by the Chinese Sexology Society, the Population and Family Planning Commission of Guangdong Province, the Guangdong Provincial Sexology Society, the Population and Family Planning Bureau of Guangzhou City, the Guangdong Eugenics Association, and Guangdong Co-create Economic Development Limited Company. The Southern Metropolis Daily continues to serve as the co-organizer media outlet.
Middle school students will engage in dialogues and debates with sexologists.
The "Sex Education in Middle Schools" event is scheduled for the afternoon of November 2. At that time, experts from the Guangdong Provincial Sexology Society will deliver a thematic lecture at Guangzhou No. 4 Middle School and engage in exchanges with middle school students through participatory interviews and Q&A sessions.
Is it appropriate for the Sex Culture Festival to enter middle school campuses? Professor Mo Jiaming, vice president of the Guangdong Provincial Sexology Society, stated that they would only bring some necessary sex science knowledge to the schools and would not hold sex culture exhibitions on campus. He believed that adolescent sexual psychology and physiology matured one to two years earlier than before, making sex education for middle school students imperative.
Duan Xiu Hua, deputy inspector of the Guangzhou Population and Family Planning Bureau, pointed out that this was the first time the Sex Culture Festival introduced reproductive health and sex-related education into middle school campuses, targeting junior high school students in grades 2 and 3.
Ticket prices have been raised to 20 yuan.
This year's biggest change is that the venue will be relocated to the Jinhan Exhibition Center, which has a smaller area, while the main venue will be set up at the Flower Market West Guangxi Adult Goods Market.
Professor Zhu Jiaming explained that considering the appropriateness of some exhibition content, minors will be prohibited from entering. It was reported that over the past two editions, more than 300,000 people attended the festival each time. This year, in addition to expanding the exhibition space, to control the flow of people, ticket prices will be increased from 10 yuan last year to 20 yuan per ticket.
Women's lingerie performances, which were canceled due to limited costume variety last year, are now confirmed to take place this year.

Sichuan Online - Sichuan Daily News: "Little friends, when you were inside your mother's belly, you lived in the uterus." On the 6th, Chengdu Renan Experimental Primary School conducted a special art class where 54 first-grade students witnessed for the first time through colorful paintings the entire process of their conception and development into fetuses within their parents' bodies. This sex health education observation class also marked the official launch of the "Sichuan Province School Sex Health Education Implementation and Promotion Plan."
According to reports, the project refers to school sex health education as "Happy Life" education, aiming to guide families in establishing correct views on adolescent sex health education through expert lectures in teacher training sessions. The project will train teaching staff of the first batch of participating schools, organize experts to compile corresponding teaching aids, and assist demonstration schools in developing courses with Chinese characteristics that permeate "Happy Life" sex health education. From March this year to February 2009, this project, funded by the Ford Foundation, will be implemented in 33 primary and secondary schools in Sichuan, Chengdu, and Chongqing. Within two years, it will be promoted in a wider range of primary and secondary schools across the country.

Xinhua News Agency, Nanjing, May 31st (reporter Junhui Ling) - The "Nanjing Generation Service Network," hosted by the Population and Family Planning Committee of Nanjing City, has officially opened. The website specifically provides scientific knowledge about sex and reproductive health to teenagers and offers online consultation services to help them establish correct views on love and values.
Relevant officials from the Beijing Population and Family Planning Committee said that there is an increasing number of young couples who conceive before marriage, many of whom are college students and teenagers. The Internet is an important channel for teenagers to learn and entertain, and it is hoped that through the establishment of professional websites, teenagers can increase their scientific knowledge about sex and reproductive health, thereby enhancing the self-protection awareness of young men and women of childbearing age.
In response to the common characteristics of teenagers, the website has specially set up sections such as Youth Classroom, Girls' Support Station, Youth Specialist, Scientific Contraception, and Health Self-test. College students who encounter difficult-to-discuss issues related to "sex and reproduction" can consult experts online.
