● Characteristics and Application Scope:
Strength is slightly higher than 15# steel, rarely quenched, no temper brittleness. High cold deformation plasticity, usually used for bending, pressing, edge bending, and hammer arch processing. Good welding performance with arc welding and contact welding. On thin pieces with strict shape requirements or complex shapes, cracks are prone to occur during gas welding. Machinability is better in cold-drawn or normalized state than in annealed state. Generally used for manufacturing components under low stress but requiring high toughness, such as Q345C seamless steel pipe.
