Geely Holding Group joined the "Spring Warms 2012" large-scale charity gala under the name of the "Zhejiang Li Shufu Education Assistance Foundation," donating one million yuan to jointly help rural impoverished areas' left-behind children aged one to six years old through the "Rural Kindergarten Charity Plan" with the China Development Research Foundation. In this Spring Warms campaign, Geely contributed one million yuan to support the early development project for impoverished children in remote mountainous areas: educational investment and nutritional investment. Educational investment is mainly used for establishing village-level early childhood education points and building a team of teachers, while nutritional investment is mainly used to provide love nutrition packages for infants and young children, supplementing trace elements and other projects.
The "Spring Warms" charity gala was initiated by CCTV's Finance Channel on the day of Lichun in 2007. After five years, "Spring Warms" has returned to us. The "Spring Warms 2012" gala promotes common concern for left-behind children by all sectors of society through donations to three charity projects of public welfare institutions such as the China Development Research Foundation, the China Poverty Alleviation Foundation, and the China Youth Development Foundation, showing care and cherishing for left-behind children in remote rural areas and focusing on the future of the Chinese nation.
According to reports, Geely's action this time is to jointly donate to the "Rural Kindergarten Charity Plan" with the China Development Research Foundation. The donation method will adopt a unit of 30 children per village, providing free care and early childhood education services for 30 children, including free nutritious meals daily. The annual donation standard for 30 children is 30,000 RMB. According to this standard, the one million yuan in funds donated by Geely will build about 30 kindergartens, helping approximately 900 children complete their early childhood education each year.
Relevant Geely personnel stated that Geely will carefully plan and implement this series of rescue projects together with the China Education Development Foundation and actively carry out subsequent donation public welfare activities using Geely's car enthusiast association resources and educational resources.
