China News Service, December 17 - According to reports by the Central News Agency on December 17, Atthapon Daengkhamkhun Pik Namwan, Thailand's heaviest transgender person, initially weighed over 300 kilograms and was transported from her home by a crane. After four months of treatment at Chulalongkorn Hospital, she was finally discharged yesterday with a much lighter figure of 87.5 kilograms.

With the assistance of more than 200 medical staff at Chulalongkorn Hospital, Atthapon lost over 200 kilograms, enabling her to walk out of the hospital on her own, rather than needing help for mobility as before.

Atthapon said she felt reborn and hoped to have the opportunity to thank Princess Ubolratana Rajakanya, who assisted in her medical care and weight loss.

The hospital stated that when Atthapon was admitted in August, she suffered from severe obesity, along with irregular heartbeat, breathing difficulties, hormone deficiencies, and pulmonary embolism, making it impossible for her to move on her own.

Before losing weight, it took 8 to 10 people to help her turn over in bed. The hospital mobilized 200 people to assist in her treatment, including performing gastric bypass surgery, until her weight decreased.

Atthapon said she was very happy with her new body and would reduce her intake of carbohydrates and sugars in the future, continuing to work hard to bring her weight down to 70 kilograms.
