Viewing the trailer also requires a movie ticket, and this scene will occur with James Cameron's science fiction epic masterpiece "Avatar."

As August 21st, "Avatar Day," approaches, many fans are inquiring about how they can be among the first to see the 16-minute 3D teaser of "Avatar." On August 14th, 20th Century Fox announced that they would begin distributing free tickets for the trailer on the official "Avatar" movie website starting at noon Pacific Time on the 17th. Each person is limited to two tickets, available on a first-come, first-served basis until supplies run out.

Ticket holders will be able to watch the 16-minute IMAX 3D teaser at any one of the designated 101 IMAX theaters on August 21st. This teaser is similar to the one shown at the Amsterdam Film Festival in the Netherlands and at the San Diego Comic-Con, but it will include at least one new scene.

The teaser will be shown before and after screenings of the IMAX version of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince." Some theaters may also play it twice between 6 PM and 7 PM.

The film "Avatar" is set to premiere on December 18, 2009.
