Recently, Shengdexi received a notice jointly issued by the Science and Technology Department of Hunan Province, the Finance Department of Hunan Province, the State Taxation Bureau of Hunan Province, and the Local Taxation Bureau of Hunan Province. Shengdexi was recognized as one of the second batch of high-tech enterprises in Hunan Province for the year 2010. This is the first company in the clothing industry of Hunan Province to receive this honor, and it will gain more favorable policy support in national taxation and technology innovation special funds.
Chairman of Shengdexi, Luo Wenliang, believes that innovation is the foundation of an enterprise's survival and development, and the future of an enterprise lies in innovation. Innovation in clothing companies mainly refers to design innovation. Only by continuously innovating in design and research can an enterprise maintain its vitality and dynamism in development. Ten years ago, in order to create Shengdexi’s design advantage across the entire industry and realize the dream of the rise of Chinese men's wear in central China, Luo Wenliang went abroad to Europe to seek partners. During his visit in Europe, he decisively collaborated with the famous French designer Danny·Ferre, and established the Shengdexi Design Studio in Paris, laying a solid foundation for achieving a design advantage in the field of Chinese men's wear.
Subsequently, Shengdexi also established design research and development centers in Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Tokyo, Japan, hiring the renowned Japanese designer Kobayashi·Yoshinori as the design director for Shengdexi's fashionable business men's wear on Taobao. The enterprise technology center established at Shengdexi headquarters was successively recognized as a municipal-level enterprise technology center and a provincial-level enterprise technology center. In 2007, the Shengdexi Enterprise Technology Center was approved to establish the Changsha Garment Engineering Technology Center, and in 2008, it was upgraded to the Hunan Province Garment Engineering Technology Center. For Shengdexi, this is a very precious innovation platform combining industry, education, and research. By accelerating the integration of informatization and industrialization, traditional manual manufacturing has been upgraded to digital processing and manufacturing, forming a complete networked scientific research and development institution and research system with high, precise, and advanced capabilities. Currently, four research groups and two institutes have been established, preliminarily forming a research and development system consisting of three major R&D centers in Paris, Tokyo, Shanghai, and the Hunan Province Garment Engineering Technology Center (3+1).
In 2010, Shengdexi collaborated with the China Fashion Color Association to establish the China Fashion Business Men's Wear Color Research and Development Center. Through extensive integration of domestic and international fashion resources over the years, Shengdexi has gradually developed strong design and R&D capabilities and has gained a significant design leading advantage in the field of Chinese men's wear. Shengdexi is taking the establishment of a national-level garment engineering technology center as an opportunity to widely carry out industry-university-research cooperation and comprehensively enhance the enterprise's independent innovation capabilities.
