"Parent-child life. Storage. Peaceful home." share

In 2007, the first beloved daughter was born. The following year was a busy period for Ding Jingyi as she held her baby girl in one arm and carried another baby in her womb. By the end of 2008, she had become a mother of two children. It wasn't easy, but before they knew it, it was already early 2011 when her third child, a little son, finally arrived. This year, Dingding has become a lively mom of three precious eggs!

Good habits are cultivated from a young age, and Dingding never spoils her little princesses. Her eldest daughter is four years old, and her youngest daughter is three. Both precious daughters are at the energetic stage where they love to play and jump around, imitating everything around them. Dingding, who loves outdoor activities, takes her family to the countryside to enjoy nature and encourages the children to exercise more instead of being couch potatoes. Although Dingding spoils her children by buying various toys for them to satisfy their curiosity and practice skills, she believes that "spoiling does not mean indulging." In order to teach her children good habits and rules in daily life, Ding Jingyi strictly enforces these rules and has her own set of tricks for cultivating good habits.

Low storage cabinets encourage self-organizing toys!

"If you have to constantly follow your daughter around picking up after her, it will be exhausting for the adults and also form bad habits in the child." Ding Jingyi, who values discipline, designed low storage cabinets in her home so that her daughters could learn to organize their own toys. This way, the daughters can learn to put their toys back in their original places and develop good habits.

Too many kids' toys? Where to store them?

Besides the toys bought by the couple, the three adorable treasures often receive gifts from relatives and friends. A large number of toys and clothes have led Mommy Ding Jingyi to discover the best storage methods.

Apart from the low cabinets where the children can take initiative to tidy up, Ding Jingyi places her daughters' favorite big toys directly against the wall. This not only avoids obstructing movement paths but also allows the children to easily access the toys. Other toys and daily necessities are stored on the tatami floor divided into two sections. Ding Jingyi shares that she places frequently used small items in the front drawers while the back half of the elevated floor uses a flip-up storage system to store less frequently used large items.

Home safety protection work for children's safe play areas

Since Ding Jingyi's elder and younger daughters are at an age full of curiosity and like to run around, home safety protection is very important. For instance, corners of cabinets and walls can be protected with anti-collision pads and strips purchased from stores, reducing the chance of children bumping into things at home. Also, high cabinets with door designs should be considered; open-style cabinets must pay attention to the possibility of objects falling. Glassware and cups should not be placed on high shelves or easily accessible places for children.
