At 7:30 yesterday morning, the municipal government examination site for civil servants located at Wenzhou Finance School, about half an hour before the interview began. The staff held metal detection instruments to conduct "security checks" on the interviewees. It was learned that these special devices were borrowed from Wenzhou Yongqiang Airport.

The on-site staff introduced that this year's civil servant interview in our city first used a metal detector, not only to prevent candidates from cheating but also as a kind of "courtesy reminder", to some extent, to protect the candidates. Last year, a candidate who participated in the interview accidentally brought a mobile phone and was given a zero score.

It was learned that in 2008, Wenzhou City planned to recruit 583 civil servants, 19 village cadres, and 12 special position civil servants through examinations. A total of 1463 people entered the interview. There are 20 interview evaluation groups in the whole city. Each group is composed of 12 people: 7 examiners, 1 scoring officer, 1 checking officer, 1 guide officer, 1 management officer, and 1 supervisor officer. Examiners are selected from counties (cities, districts), municipal agencies, universities, and scientific research units, implementing "regional avoidance". Supervisors are assigned from personnel of discipline inspection, people's congress, political consultative conference and other departments, supervising the entire interview process, which is a new measure.

Different from previous years, the time for civil servant interviews in our city this year has been reduced from 15 minutes last year to 12 minutes, and the number of questions has been reduced from four to three.

It is reported that the overall results of candidates taking the civil service examination in Wenzhou this year will be announced on March 25th on Wenzhou Talent Network and Zhejiang Personnel Compilation Network. The physical examination is scheduled from April 12th to 14th. After the physical examination, the candidates will also undergo an investigation, with an investigation period of generally 60 days, which is also a newly added link this year.

It is reported that in the investigation, those who have been found by relevant departments to have participated in any of the nine types of criminal activities such as cults, drug use, pornography, theft, embezzlement, bribery, and fraud will not be suitable for recruitment as civil servants.
