For civil buildings, air conditioning is designed to ensure human comfort requirements, which is known as comfort air conditioning. For industrial buildings, it maintains a certain air environment in the production workshop to improve labor productivity, ensure quality, and improve working conditions, which is known as process air conditioning. The main tasks of air conditioning design are:
1. Determination of control indicators for various parameters of the internal air environment of the air-conditioned room, i.e., determination of the room's temperature, relative humidity, airflow velocity, air cleanliness, air freshness, and the fluctuation range of relevant parameters.
2. Calculation of various interference quantities affecting the air-conditioned room, i.e., various heat and moisture loads from the outside and inside.
3. Determination of the air conditioning system and selection calculation of various air treatment equipment required by the system, followed by determination of the cooling and heating source units.
4. Calculation of the air conditioning water pipe system and duct system, selection of pumps and fans, and reasonable organization of indoor airflow.
5. Analysis of operating conditions to ensure that the air conditioning system runs normally throughout the year and economically, and corresponding automatic adjustment schemes.
6. Economic accounting of the entire air conditioning project, cost index, and estimation of daily operating costs.
