Jingle, jingle

"Goodness me!" The visitor, upon seeing the face mask in front of her, was so startled that she fell back onto the ground.

"Ahh, Sister-in-law! You scared me to death. Sister-in-law, happy new year, happy new year!" Chairman Mouse quickly got up, dusted off his bottom with his hands behind his back, then brought them forward to bow with clasped hands and a full smile, making a half-bow to Mrs. Cat.

Presumably another gift-giver, Mrs. Cat gave a pleased "meow." With the new year approaching, gifts had been coming non-stop to her house recently, like the endless flow of the Yangtze River.

Ding dong, ding dong, two doorbell rings.

Mrs. Cat cautiously stepped towards the door with her cat-like gait.

But several kittens seemed not to have heard, continuing to chase each other around the house with a ball of yarn, leaving threads scattered like spider webs.

"Quiet," she stretched lazily and said to the children who were still playing noisily.

"Please come in, do come in," Mrs. Cat warmly invited.

"Ah, it's Boss Mouse! Don't be afraid, don't be afraid, it's your sister-in-law me," Mrs. Cat quickly removed her face mask.

"Thank you, Sister-in-law. Is Brother Cat at home?"

"Look who's here," Mr. Cat adjusted his gold-rimmed glasses, shook the newspaper in his hand, and said to his wife who was about to apply a face mask.

Surely someone has come to give gifts, Mrs. Cat thought happily and immediately opened the door.

Mrs. Cat instantly recognized the visitor as Chairman Mouse, the famous night club owner in the area.

She widened her eyes and carefully looked through the peephole, discovering a sharp-nosed individual waiting to be seen outside the door.
