Hengwu Courtyard is the residence of Baochai Xue, cousin of Baoyu. She lost her father at an early age and temporarily lived in Rongguo Mansion with her mother and brother, and then was selected to marry Baoyu. The three characters of Hengwu Courtyard in Yan style are written on the courtyard gate, which is like the steady and dignified personality of the owner Baochai Xue and her stable way of dealing with things. Inside the yard, vines grow on the fake stones, and fragrant flowers such as green onions are planted everywhere. Ivy and evergreen vines are planted all over the yard, and the many vines also imply the character of the owner who is good at climbing the ladder of power and being resourceful.

Located on the west side of Xiaoxiang Pavilion, the building area is 699 square meters. There is a Mandarin duck hall in the front yard, separated by screen door panels, front and back are equal. Behind the hall is a exquisite large artificial hill, with winding mountain paths. There is a hexagonal pavilion and an ancient arhat pine on the top of the hill, and a waterfall flows down in the cave, along the stream beside the waterside pavilion into the lotus pond. Wisteria climbs around the courtyard, and a juniper tree over 700 years old is planted on the west side. A large red flower sedan chair is displayed in the side room, symbolizing the one used when Xue Baochai got married. The main building behind the mountain, Hengzhi Qingfen, is Xue Baochai's bedroom. The building is octagonal with corridors on all four sides. Through the mountain corridor and across the artificial hill, you can reach the front yard directly. The design of this group of buildings is unique, the scenery is beautiful, stone shoots stand upright, it is very interesting.
