**Siemens Fully Automatic Drum Washing Machine Continuous Water Inflow**
**Fault Phenomenon:** The washing machine continues to fill with water and cannot automatically enter the heating wash state.
**Analysis and Maintenance:** First, cut off the power supply. Using a multimeter in resistance mode, measure that the two pairs of contacts in the water level switch are already conductive, indicating that the fault is unrelated to the water level switch. Based on the principle of how the washing machine heats during the wash cycle, the liquid heating is achieved through a thermostat. When the temperature of the wash liquid reaches 60°C, the normally closed contact of the thermostat at 60°C opens, and the heater stops heating. After analysis, use the multimeter to check the on/off status of the 42°C and 60°C contacts of the thermostat one by one, and it was found that the contacts do not actuate when the corresponding temperature is reached. Therefore, it is determined that the thermostat is damaged. Due to the failure of the thermostat contacts to function properly, the heater loses control, leading to no heating, which in turn causes this fault.
**Resolution Measures:** After replacing the thermostat with the same model, the machine was tested, and the fault was resolved.
