Centipede Breeding Watering Facilities: Drinking water is also one of the vital activities for centipedes. Therefore, it is essential to set up water supply facilities within the centipede breeding farm. Commonly used water supply facilities include shallow plastic trays or drinking pans. Drinking pans can be buried in the breeding soil or embedded in the ground of the activity area, making it convenient for centipedes to find and drink water. Some farms use water channels dug around the bottom of the breeding pool walls. The bottom and walls of the channel are cemented to prevent leaks, with the top edge level with the centipede activity area. The channel width is 10-20 cm and depth 10 cm, always maintaining sufficient clean water. Since centipedes cannot cross water-filled channels, these channels not only satisfy the drinking needs of centipedes but also prevent them from escaping.
Additionally, dense sponges soaked in clear water can be placed in the centipede's activity area or on tiles for drinking.
Centipede Breeding Feeding Facilities: The bait for centipedes often consists of live small animals that need to be cut during feeding. These bait animals may leave some mucus, feces, and juicy soft tissues before being consumed by centipedes, contaminating the breeding soil or activity area and being difficult to clean, easily leading to the proliferation of pathogenic microorganisms. Therefore, when feeding centipedes, it is common to use bait trays similar to drinking pans. These bait trays can be plastic shallow trays buried in the breeding soil or "embedded" in the activity area, level with the surface of the breeding soil or the ground of the activity area. Thin wooden boards or hard, compact paperboards can also be used as bait trays.
