The harms of depression

Depression is a common mental illness nowadays, with main symptoms including low mood, pessimism, slow thinking, etc. The harms of depression mainly include the following points:

1. Loss of interest in daily life and lack of pleasure;

2. Significant reduction in energy and persistent fatigue without cause;

3. Decline in self-confidence or inferiority complex, or guilt;

4. Insomnia, early waking or excessive sleep;

5. Poor appetite and significant weight loss;

6. Suicidal ideation or behavior

7. Significant decrease in libido;

8. Difficulty concentrating or decline in concentration;

9. Difficulty in association and significant decline in thinking ability. Depression fluctuates greatly during the day, often being the worst in the morning like neurasthenia, then gradually easing, and being the lightest at night.
