Ningbo China Network - Shen, from Anhui province, works in a restaurant in Xiaogang, Beilun for meager wages. Recently, his girlfriend unexpectedly became pregnant, and in order to gather the funds for an abortion, Shen actually came up with the idea of stealing motorcycles. However, what he didn't expect was that less than 20 minutes after stealing a motorcycle, he was caught red-handed.

At around 7:40 PM on October 8th, Officer Xiao Li and his colleagues were conducting checks at a checkpoint in the Xiaogang area when they stopped a black scooter carrying a young man and woman. When Officer Xiao Li asked the male driver for his documents, the man claimed he had forgotten them at home and said the bike belonged to a friend. Seeing the man's nervous demeanor, Xiao Li discreetly walked aside and used his portable police terminal to find the owner of the motorcycle, making contact with Mr. Chen. Over the phone, Chen said he was singing at a karaoke bar in Qijianshan and that his motorcycle was parked outside in the parking lot. While on the call, the driver suddenly bolted. The prepared officers quickly reacted, tackling him to the ground.

Through on-site questioning, it was learned that the man was surnamed Shen, 27 years old, and the woman behind him was his girlfriend. Shen admitted without hesitation to the theft, stating the reason for stealing the motorcycle was that his girlfriend had unexpectedly become pregnant and they lacked money for the abortion. Twenty minutes prior, he had run 10 kilometers to Qijianshan to steal the motorcycle, not expecting to be caught so quickly by the police. Even more surprisingly, during the officer's questioning, a middle-aged woman arrived at the scene. She stared at the motorcycle, perplexed, asking the officer, "My husband is still singing in Qijianshan; how did his motorcycle come back on its own?" It turned out this woman was the wife of the motorcycle owner, Mr. Chen. She had been singing with her husband earlier but returned home early due to some matters. Their home happened to be right next to where the police had set up their checkpoint.

Currently, the criminal suspect, Shen, has been criminally detained according to law.
