Recently, the People's Procuratorate of Yanhe County, Guizhou Province, made a decision to approve the arrest of the suspect Zhong for涉嫌故意伤害 (致死)罪 [suspected intentional injury (resulting in death)].
According to reports, Zhong, the team leader of the second shift of Chongqing Guangxin Company's Shatuo Hydropower Station project department in Yanhe County, discovered a thief stealing materials at the construction site. He immediately invited Li and Hu to go catch the thief. Zhang, who was in the process of stealing, ran away upon seeing them. The three chased after him relentlessly, continuously picking up stones from the ground and throwing them at Zhang. When Zhang ran to the platform where the Shatuo Hydropower Station met the river surface, he was hit by a stone thrown by Zhong and fell into the Wujiang River, where he drowned to death.
On February 15, 2011, the Yanhe Public Security Bureau requested approval for an arrest on charges of intentional injury. After reviewing the case, the Yanhe Procuratorate determined that the suspect Zhong had significant suspicion and thus made the above decision.
