Jiande holds a series of open day activities in police stations; the public has zero-distance interaction with police affairs
On December 20, it was reported that in the equipment exhibition area located in the command center hall of the Public Security Bureau, there were seven kinds of firearms on display including rarely seen handguns, sniper rifles, and anti-riot guns as well as over 20 other types of police equipment. This opened the eyes of students and made the citizens who visited feel more secure.
Since December 14, the Public Security Bureau has held a series of open day activities in police stations themed "police-civilian interactions, jointly creating harmony" — exhibitions of police equipment and performances of police skills. The citizens communicated face-to-face with the police officers and had zero-distance contact with high-tech police equipment to comprehensively experience the demeanor of the police stations and police officers. Through these activities, the Public Security Bureau displayed its fine equipment and the positive spirit of the police officers to all sectors of society. In the week ending on December 18, nearly 2000 citizens participated in the activities.
Among the police equipment, the most popular with the citizens were the sniper rifles and net guns. The most advanced new-style capture net gun is commonly called "heavenly net and earthly trap". When fired within 10 meters, the bullet would explode into a net that covers the criminal, making them an easy catch. Moreover, the appearance of high-tech police equipment such as alcohol monitoring devices, bulletproof and stab-proof vests, steel bulletproof helmets, and high-speed vehicle violation cameras also attracted many citizens.
