Quoting British fertility experts, the report said that the fetus in her belly had a slim chance of survival. The probability of even one surviving out of 12 fetuses is less than one percent.

According to Xinhua News Agency, a female teacher from Tunisia has set a record by being pregnant with 12 babies. However, British fertility experts believe that the survival chances of each fetus in her belly are very small.

But experts say that this woman cannot wait for the normal development of the fetus until the due date. She will give birth prematurely at 20 weeks of pregnancy due to excessive uterine pressure, which is only half of a normal pregnancy period. An ultrasound shows that this woman is nearing a critical stage of pregnancy. Expert Peter Bowen-Simpkins said: "I don't want to tell her that the survival rate is only one percent and there may be only one baby surviving, as it would make her too disheartened."

However, the woman insisted that she was doing well and said, "I just want to embrace my children and dedicate my love to them."

The UK's Daily Mail reported on the 18th that the woman is in her 30s. She experienced two miscarriages within two years and finally succeeded in becoming pregnant after receiving fertility treatment.

In January, Nadya Suleman, a single mother from California, gave birth to a healthy set of octuplets through in vitro fertilization, setting a precedent in medical history. In 1971, a mother from Sydney, Australia, gave birth to nine babies at once, setting the world record for "the most babies delivered in one birth," but all nine babies died shortly after birth.
