Introduction to the iron selection equipment:
The iron selection equipment developed by our company uses a neodymium-iron-boron composite strong magnetic system magnetic separator as the first magnetic separation after extracting sea sand. This magnetic separator has been improved and standardized many times in user practice by our company, with the characteristics of large processing capacity and high recovery rate. The coarse iron powder recovered by the first magnetic separation is ground by an energy-saving ball mill and then selected by a fine-selection magnetic separator to obtain iron concentrate with a grade of over 63%. The equipment is designed for energy saving and environmental protection, with the advantages of small investment and quick results.
The main steps of the iron selection equipment/iron ore equipment are as follows:
(I) Iron selection equipment/Iron ore equipment - Ore crushing
Ore dressing plants in our country generally use three-stage crushing processes: coarse crushing, medium crushing, and fine crushing to crush iron ore. Coarse crushing often uses 1.2m or 1.5m gyratory crushers, medium crushing uses 2.1m or 2.2m standard cone crushers, and fine crushing adopts 2.1m or 2.2m short-head cone crushers. After coarse crushing, the size of the ore does not exceed 1m, and then it goes through medium and fine crushing, and is screened into the final product with a particle size less than 12mm, which is sent to the grinding tank.
(II) Iron selection equipment/Iron ore equipment - Grinding process
The grinding process of iron ore in our country mostly adopts a two-stage grinding process. Small and medium-sized beneficiation plants mostly adopt a single-stage grinding process. Due to the adoption of new fine-screen regrinding technology, some beneficiation plants have changed from two-stage grinding to three-stage grinding in recent years. The grinding equipment used is generally relatively small, with the largest ball mill being 3.6m×6m, the largest rod mill being 3.2m×4.5m, the largest autogenous mill being 5.5m×1.8m, and the pebble mill being 2.7m×3.6m.
The classification after grinding basically uses a spiral classifier. In order to improve efficiency, some beneficiation plants replace the secondary spiral classifier with a hydrocyclone.
