Mexico's telecoms tycoon Carlos Slim Helu remains the world's richest person (Picture)

Forbes magazine of the United States announced the ranking of billionaires of the year 2011 on March 9. Carlos Slim Helu, the telecom tycoon of Mexico retained his position as the world's richest man with a total asset value of 74 billion US dollars. His personal assets increased by 2 billion US dollars in the last year, making him the billionaire whose wealth increased the most. Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft ranked second with personal assets of 56 billion US dollars, 18 billion US dollars less than Slim's.
