In the "2009 List of the Most Admired Chinese Companies" released by Fortune (Chinese Edition) on August 10, the survey was designed to cover 19 industries and nearly 300 companies were shortlisted. Of particular note is that four network companies made it onto the list this year. They are Alibaba, Tencent, Ctrip, and Sina. Among them, Tencent's total revenue in the first half of the year reached RMB 5.3828 billion yuan, an increase of 77.5% over the same period last year, ranking it at the top of the Internet industry rankings for the most admired Chinese company.
