China Chemical Network (http://www.63w.cn/) reported that a new technology for nitrogen foam gel profile modification and plugging, jointly developed by the Drilling & Production Research Institute of Liaohe Oilfield and the Process Research Institute of Shuguang Oil Production Plant, was successfully tested in the Du80-18-70 well group of Shuguang Oilfield. This technology can improve the recovery rate of deep heavy oil blocks with low pressure and low speed, and has broad application prospects.
The super-heavy oil reservoirs of Shuguang Oilfield have characteristics such as "shallow, viscous, scattered", loose cementation of reservoirs, high permeability, severe non-homogeneity of formations, and large porosity. During the process of steam injection exploitation, there are common production problems such as serious inter-well steam窜and low steam thermal efficiency.
In 2009, the Process Research Institute of Shuguang Oil Production Plant and the Drilling & Production Research Institute of Liaohe Oilfield collaborated to conduct research on high-temperature temporary plugging and high-temperature profile modification process technologies, and successfully developed the nitrogen foam gel profile modification and plugging technology.
In April 2009, technical personnel carried out a field test of the nitrogen foam gel profile modification technology in the Du80-18-70 well. By June 24, after 63 days of production, they produced 923 tons of oil. The current daily production capacity is 17.4 tons, an increase of 104 tons of oil compared to the same period of the previous cycle, and the daily production capacity has increased by 9.8 tons compared to the same period.
