Wuya's Legend Plot

The 20-episode TV series "Wuya Legend" is set in Shanghai. In the early 1920s, a girl named "Wuya" from a rural area in Zhejiang East desired to change her own fate, so she impersonated the deceased daughter of a wealthy family and married into a family in Shanghai. To her surprise, she ended up in the clutches of a former Qing eunuch. The ending of Wuya Legend is sad, and it's an ending that everyone would not want to see. Perhaps Wuya Legend is trying to convey some message to its audience and criticize the society at that time.
