Episode 4:

Bo has a very poor attitude towards Tong, causing others to look askance. Tong delivers herbs to Yao, Bo is cold towards him, and Chen tries to persuade Bo kindly. Yao and Bo meet their old friend Dr. Lin Pei Pei who has returned from the US at the hospital, the three reunite after a long separation, feeling much sentiment. Pei and Bo were once a couple, Bo tells Pei that he early discovered Ting as his sister. Yuan et al. discover clues about the abuse case of girl Chen Sanshan from Chen, continuing the investigation. Chen helps troubled youth Zhao Xuemin, but instead gets falsely accused of sexual harassment, fortunately Rou understands clearly. Chen tells Rou that perhaps they can find the behavior pattern of the brick-throwing thug from newspaper clippings. Later, Rou almost gets injured by a brick thrown from a height, negating Chen's speculation. Rou obtains clues about the brick-throwing case from the forensic department, and starts to believe Chen. Bo discovers that Yuan lacks objectivity in handling child abuse cases. Yuan sees the real culprit caught and sheds tears of emotion. Chen discovers the suspect of the brick-throwing case He Yaoguang (Blackie Yao), immediately notifies Rou, unfortunately getting noticed by Yao.

Episode 5:

When Tong examines his injuries, he discovers he has cataracts. Rou and Chen send Tong home, Rou directly accuses Bo of being unfilial. When Chen visits Tong, he meets Rou, the three visit Yao together. Rou's younger brother Liang Xiaogang also works at the forensics department. Ting accidentally contaminates his evidence, but Bo blames Gang instead. Rou is dissatisfied, later she discovers Bo's relationship with Pei and Ting, accusing Bo of favoritism. Pei still harbors feelings for Bo, when she learns how Yao took Bo away years ago, she scolds Yao. Yao's chemotherapy progress is not ideal, Bo is distressed.
