On the evening of April 1st, S TV station's Monday-Tuesday drama "The King and I" reached its grand finale. In the finale of "The King and I," Kim Chusa, played by Oh Man-seok, repeatedly advised against Yeonsan's tyranny but was eventually stabbed to death by Yeonsan. After Kim Chusa's death, Yeonsan became increasingly cruel and was finally deposed by the ministers and exiled to a lonely island.

"The King and I," which started broadcasting on August 27th last year, has experienced numerous twists and turns during its seven months of airing. Although it drew attention from the audience by having an "eunuch" as the main character, its ratings fell into a slump from the middle part of the drama due to the popularity of "Lee Seon" and the slow progress of the plot, unable to surpass "Lee Seon." It wasn't until recently, with the approach of the finale and the official appearance of Yeonsan played by Jung Tae-woo, that it showed improvement. According to the viewership survey company TNS Media Korea, the finale of "The King and I" achieved a viewership rating of 17.2%, nearly two percentage points higher than the usual 15%.
