Story Outline:
Eighteen-year-old female college student Mai Qiuzhui grew up in a warm, harmonious family. Although her family was not very wealthy and they lived in an old apartment, she felt very happy.
However, unexpectedly, after just one night's sleep, a group of mysterious black-clothed people appeared in her small apartment, claiming that her true identity is the long-lost granddaughter of the chairman of the richest group in the country, Huangfu Group, Mr. Huangfu Xiong. Also, Mai's parents admitted that she was not their biological daughter but a child bought from human traffickers.
Under the strong influence of her grandfather, Mr. Huangfu Xiong, Mai was forced to move out of the Mai family home and into the Huangfu mansion. However, the life of a rich girl is not as good as imagined. On the first day Mai moved into the Huangfu mansion, she was considered a scheming gold-digger and had a conflict with Nan Fengjin, the eldest son who is most likely to inherit the position in the Huangfu family. The two were constantly at odds, like fire and water. Coincidentally, Mr. Huangfu Xiong wanted to matchmake between Mai and Nan Fengjin and tried every method to create opportunities for them to be alone together. He even required Nan Fengjin to personally train Mai in etiquette and dance so that she would not embarrass herself at the welcome ball for her return to the Huangfu family.
In order to make Mai presentable within a two-week deadline, Nan Fengjin trained Mai with the same strictness he experienced during his elite training course. Mai suffered greatly and thought that Nan Fengjin was taking the opportunity to punish her due to previous misunderstandings. She attempted to escape the Huangfu mansion multiple times to return to the Mai family. However, since the Mai couple worked in companies related to the Huangfu Group, despite Mai's reluctance, she still returned to the Huangfu mansion for the sake of her adoptive parents.
And thus begins a series of wonderful stories between this pair of star-crossed lovers, Mai and Nan Fengjin...
