Episode 1:
Street character "Ma Ying" Chen Jiying set up an ambush at a restaurant. Zhang Zhengyi and Xing Jingjing worked inside and out to prepare for his arrest. Meanwhile, Yu Zilang was also investigating a theft case at the restaurant. Episode 2:
Zilang and Jing were both transferred to the Special Homicide Investigation Department (D.I.E.), where all colleagues are rejects from the police force and handle unsolved cases. Colleagues Xiaofeng, Meiyun, etc., were frightened by strange phenomena in the old police station, but Zilang logically solved all the mysteries. Yi felt responsible for Jing's transfer and voluntarily joined D.I.E. D.I.E. received orders to handle He Yongchen's case. It turned out that Chen was the wife in a three-year-old kidnapping case involving wealthy businessman Guan Dewen. Chen claimed Dewen's younger brother De Wu suddenly hired a medium named Esmeralda for a séance, causing emotional harm, prompting her to call the police.
